Child Safety Standards
Who Zabibu is for
Zabibu requires every user to confirm they are 18 or older during sign-up, and profiles show only an adult age range. We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18 to hold an account; if we learn a user is a minor, we disable the account. See our Privacy Policy.
What we prohibit
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including but not limited to:
- Any image, video, text or link depicting or sexualizing a minor, real or fictional (including AI-generated or "de-aged" depictions).
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to solicit sexual content or contact involving a minor.
- Sharing, requesting, linking to, or advertising child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any profile, message, activity, or chat.
- Using Zabibu to arrange to meet a minor for a sexual purpose, or to facilitate someone else doing so.
- Misrepresenting your age to appear to be, or to target, a minor.
These rules apply everywhere on Zabibu: profiles, photos, bios, direct messages, group and activity chats, and activity listings.
How we prevent and detect it
- Age gate at sign-up: every account must confirm they're 18 or older before using the app.
- Photo screening: profile and chat photos are automatically screened for nudity and violence before anyone else can see them, and a device-side check confirms a profile photo shows a face.
- Message screening: text messages are automatically checked for romantic or sexual content, since Zabibu is a friendship app, not a dating app; flagged messages can be reviewed by our team.
- Human review and enforcement: our team reviews reports and flagged content, and can warn, restrict, suspend or permanently ban accounts. Banned users may not create new accounts.
How to report a concern
Anyone — a user or not — can report a child safety concern about Zabibu:
- In the app: report the profile, message or activity involved using the report option on their profile (⋯ menu), on a message (press and hold), or from the chat info screen. Reports are reviewed by our team; you can also block the person immediately.
- By email: info@razorinformatics.co.ke, including any details, screenshots or usernames that can help us investigate quickly.
We act on credible reports as a priority: removing the content, disabling the account, and preserving evidence. Where required or appropriate, we report CSAE to the relevant authority — for example the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in Kenya, the National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4) or the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) — and we cooperate with law enforcement requests related to child safety.
Designated point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety questions and CSAE prevention/compliance is available at info@razorinformatics.co.ke (Razor Informatics, Kenya).
Legal compliance
Zabibu complies with applicable child safety laws, including reporting obligations to regional and national authorities where required. This page is reviewed and kept up to date as our practices and applicable law evolve.
